Memory Bear A Bear full of Love and Memories Date: June 21, 2025 Time: 10:00am –4:00pm Class Title: Create a Memory Bear: Sewing Keepsakes from Loved Ones' Clothing or material. Class Description: Join us where you'll learn to create a memory bear — a handmade teddy bear crafted from cherished clothing items that once belonged to a loved one or from material you have chosen. Whether you're preserving a special moment, honoring a family member, or creating a thoughtful gift, this class will guide you step-by-step through the process of turning garments into treasured keepsakes. You will receive the pattern. What You’ll Learn: How to choose suitable fabrics and garments for your bear How to prepare fabrics from loved one's shirts etc. Reading and cutting a memory bear pattern Basic and intermediate sewing techniques Assembling and stuffing your bear Personalizing with accessories, embroidery, or names/dates What to Bring: 1-2 articles of clothing (shirts, pajamas, flannel, etc.) or cotton fabric. Sewing machine Basic sewing kit (needles, pins, scissors, thread) Optional: buttons, ribbons, or other embellishments We supply: Eyes Nose Stuffing Pattern Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate Instructor: Donna Leave with: A completed memory bear and the skills to make more on your own.
