Whether you’re new to quilting or looking to expand your skills, this timeless design is made simple by using a jelly roll or 36 pre-cut 2 ½" fabric strips. Learn how to create the striking star centerpiece without complicated Y-seams or templates. We'll guide you step-by-step through strip piecing, diamond construction, star assembly, and finishing your quilt with borders. By the end of the class, you’ll have a stunning 58" x 74" quilt top ready to finish! Materials Needed: One Jelly Roll (or 36 assorted 2 ½" x WOF strips) Background & Border Fabric: 3 ½ yards Binding Fabric: ⅝ yard Backing Fabric: 3 ¾ yards (please purchase material from us) Class Format: Session 1 (Approx. 1 – 2 hours): Introduction to the Lone Star layout Strip piecing techniques Cutting and sewing strips Preparing strips before cutting. Session 2 (Approx. 3–4 hours): How to cut your strips to look like a diamond.
